winners poetry

This year DGTA kicked off the Week of Respect by hosting a poetry contest! Week of Respect is celebrated each year beginning with the first Monday in October across the state of New Jersey. During this week, we have the opportunity to focus our efforts on preventing harassment, intimidation, and bullying, as well as making sure our school is a supportive and welcoming environment for all our learners.

All scholars were encouraged to participate in this event. Poems submitted were in any style (e.g., acrostic, haiku, free-verse), but focused on the theme of respect and kindness.

Congratulations to our winners Eden E., Mya W., Jordany S., and K. James!
