In celebration of Read Across America, DTGA was proud to welcome Hillside's own Captain Burgess-Mason for a special visit with our 2nd grade scholars!
Captain Burgess-Mason spent time reading to students, sharing the importance of literacy, perseverance, and goal setting. Scholars were excited to hear her story and learn how strong reading skills contribute to success both on and off the court. Her message reinforced that reading opens doors to endless opportunities and empowers us to achieve our dreams.
